The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) Wisconsin's political action committee has announced its support for Waukesha County Circuit Court Judge Brad Schimel in his bid for the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
NFIB Wisconsin State Director Bill G. Smith explained the endorsement, emphasizing the impact of Supreme Court decisions on small businesses in the state. He stated, "Judge Schimel believes the proper role of a Supreme Court Justice is to interpret the law, support the state and federal constitutions, and apply the law as written but guided by judicial restraint and respect for each branch of government." Smith added that based on Schimel's experience and judicial philosophy, he is seen as a suitable candidate by small business owners.
The election is scheduled for Tuesday, April 1. Information regarding voter registration can be found on the My Vote Wisconsin website.
