Gwen Moore, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing Wisconsin's 4th district, took to Twitter to voice her concerns regarding recent administrative decisions affecting social services and governance. She expressed apprehension about certain changes and advocated for federal oversight to ensure public welfare.

On April 1, 2025, Moore supported the remarks of former Social Security Administration Commissioner O’Malley about recent administrative actions. She criticized measures that have ostensibly made it more difficult for individuals to access Social Security benefits. In her tweet, she remarked, "What’s happened now in 60 days is Elon Musk has poured fuel on the fire to cut staff, close field offices, and make it harder for people to access their earned Social Security benefits."

Later that day, Moore also hailed Senator Cory Booker as a steadfast advocate on the Senate floor. Her tweet read, "My brother in arms, Senator Cory Booker stands tall on the Senate floor as a fierce defender of Americans against the reckless chaos being imposed by Donald Trump and his unelected billionaire lackey Elon Musk."

The following day, on April 2, 2025, Moore met with colleagues and the Department of Education Secretary McMahon. Reflecting on the meeting, Moore's tweet stated, "I joined my colleagues in a meeting with Department of Education Secretary McMahon this morning to remind her that the agencies can only be created or closed by Congress. We must retain federal oversight to ensures equal access and protects students' rights."
