Aspirus has announced a $5 million renovation and expansion project for the Aspirus Houghton Clinic. The project aims to improve efficiency, access, and patient experience, reflecting Aspirus' aim to meet the growing healthcare demands in the Keweenaw and surrounding areas.
The onsite work is set to begin in late April, with an anticipated completion date by January 2026.
“We are committed to continuously improving health care for the Keweenaw region,” said Laura Brogan, Director of Regional Clinics. “While the clinic has served this community for many years, it became clear that to meet the growing needs of our patients, we needed to expand services and capacity."
The project will introduce several key features: 13 new exam rooms, two new procedure rooms, a drive-through pharmacy, a redesigned central registration area and waiting room, along with updates to existing spaces.
Aspirus aims to innovate and transform its care models to ensure the system continually provides excellent, compassionate care that aligns with community needs.
“This investment demonstrates our dedication to maximizing the impact of our resources," Brogan mentioned. “We’re excited to enhance and broaden local care while contributing to the growth of the local economy.”
