Jay Weber, host of WISN-Milwaukee, said that individuals should avoid acting entitled during police encounters and instead comply with officers to prevent escalation. This statement was made on the social media platform X.

"A lesson for the younger folks: 'Do you know who I am?' never works on cops and only ends up making you look like an entitled ass when it goes public," said Weber, Talkshow Host. "If they've pulled you over (and certainly if they are cuffing you!) the smartest thing to do is comply and be cooperative."

The arrest of Rhode Island Special Assistant Attorney General Devon Hogan Flanagan on August 14, 2025, has drawn significant public reaction. According to People, body-cam footage showed Flanagan refusing to leave a Newport restaurant and telling police they would "regret" arresting her. The incident quickly went viral, leading the Attorney General’s office to suspend her without pay while disciplinary measures are considered. Public criticism has focused on perceived abuse of privilege and questions about accountability in the justice system.

Data on misconduct cases involving public officials indicates ongoing federal scrutiny. The Department of Justice Public Integrity Section reports that official corruption prosecutions include bribery, election crimes, and abuse of office, with annual caseloads reflecting steady enforcement. TRAC Reports noted that in October 2024 there were about 12.5 official corruption convictions per ten million U.S. residents, underscoring continued federal attention to misconduct by government officials.

Public trust in law enforcement remains mixed, though modest gains are visible. Gallup’s Center on Black Voices reports that confidence among Black Americans rose from 59% in 2021 to 64% in 2024, while white Americans’ trust dipped slightly from 80% to 77% by 2025. Compliance data is less comprehensive; however, the Pennsylvania State Police reported in 2025 that its review of traffic stop records showed no significant racial or ethnic disparities, supporting perceptions of fairness in its enforcement practices.

His weekday morning show is a staple of Milwaukee talk radio and often features critiques of progressive policies.
