City of Port Washington issued the following announcement on Aug. 21
On June 24, 2020, the Port Washington Common Council adopted the Navigating from Safer at Home to Your Home Port Plan. The plan serves as a set of guidelines to aid staff and local officials in executing the City’s COVID-19 response and recovery. The City intends to be supportive of the requirements and recommendations of the Badger Bounce Back and the county Blueprint for Reopening Washington and Ozaukee Counties plans. However, the City may, as deemed necessary, implement additional measures or restrictions due to local impact(s). It may also help provide definition to some areas left unclear by state orders or where local enforcement is involved. This was done with the understanding that the situation(s) and related policies and actions for other surrounding communities may not be compatible with the City’s, but in some cases may be.
It is subject to change based on local or statewide circumstances, local health official recommendations, or COVID-19 developments.
During the response and recovery to COVID-19, the City will continue to deliver quality public services, maintain the infrastructure and build organizational resilience and sustainability.
The City is in Phase 1, based on the Wisconsin Department of Health Services Badger Bounce Back Gating Criteria. As of August 21, 2020 three out of six criteria are being met. It is also worth mentioning, the case status indicators for Washington and Ozaukee County, as reported by the Washington Ozaukee Public Health Department are red (high), see below.
