Senator Johnson questions experts on COVID-19 origins

On Tuesday, U.S. Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), a member of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, participated in a hearing titled "Origins of COVID-19: An Examination of Available Evidence."

During the hearing, Senator Johnson questioned Dr. Robert Garry, one of the authors of the March 2020 proximal origin paper, regarding his role in dismissing the COVID-19 lab leak theory. The senator also discussed the dangers associated with gain-of-function research with Dr. Richard Ebright.
