A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was submitted to Green Lake County on September 26, 2024. The request, sent by us at The Sconi, seeks comprehensive details regarding all payments made to vendors within the specified period from January 1, 2024, till September 26, 2024.
The requested records are being sought under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., and we have expressed a preference for an electronic format for easier dissemination and analysis. The specifics of the request include a list with the following fields: Vendor Name, Transaction Date, Transaction Description, and Amount.
As a media organization dedicated to providing accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we believe access to these public records is essential in fulfilling our professional responsibilities. These responsibilities include holding public institutions accountable and ensuring transparency for the public.
In line with our role in gathering and reporting news to the public, we have also stated our eligibility for a fee waiver as a media professional. We await a positive response from Green Lake County as we continue our mission of providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage.
