The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has endorsed Tony Wied for the U.S. House of Representatives, representing Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District. The NFIB, known for advocating on behalf of small businesses, announced its support for Wied due to his background as a small business owner and his understanding of policies that benefit such enterprises.
Bill Smith, NFIB Wisconsin State Director, stated, “Tony Wied will be an asset for Wisconsin’s small businesses in Congress.” He emphasized Wied's comprehension of the need for reduced regulations and tax burdens. Smith expressed confidence in Wied's potential as a pro-small business vote in Congress and his ability to represent the interests of Wisconsin's small businesses effectively.
Sharon Sussin, NFIB Senior National Political Director, also commented on the endorsement: “We are pleased to endorse Tony Wied today.” She highlighted Wied's recognition of key issues affecting NFIB members and his experience as a small business owner. Sussin affirmed their belief that Wied would advocate for small businesses in Washington, D.C.
The endorsement comes from NFIB FedPAC, the organization's political action committee. This committee is funded through voluntary contributions from NFIB members beyond their regular dues. Decisions regarding endorsements are made based on grassroots evaluations driven by member input.
