The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) is seeking nominations for the Wisconsin Organic Advisory Council (OAC) until March 31, 2025. Available positions include categories for organic farmer, organic business, organic consumer, and at-large representatives. Each member will serve a three-year term with the council convening at least four times annually.

Nominees will be assessed by a committee comprising DATCP staff and current OAC members. Recommendations for appointments will be made to DATCP Secretary Randy Romanski. The new appointees are expected to commence their roles at the July 2025 meeting of the Wisconsin Organic Advisory Council.

To submit nominations, forms should detail why nominees would be beneficial additions to the council. Completed forms must be sent to Cassi Miller either via mail at P.O. Box 8911, Madison, WI 53708 or emailed by March 31, 2025. For inquiries, Cassi Miller can be contacted at (608) 259-0208.

The OAC consists of twelve members: three certified organic farmers representing various farm types such as dairy and vegetable; three from the organic business sector; one representing organic consumers; one from a private nonprofit educational organization involved in organic agriculture; one from the organic certification industry; and three at-large members.
